Male Intimate Love Making Problems & Aging
Topic: Aging
Researchers have found that many of the performance problems for older males can be "attributed to illnesses related to aging". The medical conditions of the elderly that can inhibit performance ability include heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and various other things. In addition, older men may have performance difficulties because "as you age, the pelvic muscles that control orgasm become softer, and secretions from your testes and prostate diminish". Although impotence can occur at any age, it is much more common among older males than it is among younger males. In this regard, studies have shown that approximately 8 percent of men experience impotence at the age of fifty-five; this figure increases to 55 percent by the age of seventy-five, and 75 percent by the age of eighty.

Many men experience a decreased ability to get it up as they become older. In addition, some researchers have argued that middle-aged men go through a period of "male menopause." Although this experience is less intense than the experience of menopause in women, it nonetheless results in a decline in testosterone production, a decline in fertility, and a decrease in performance ability. It is also important to note that a decline in sexual desire and ability may be related to the ingrained expectations and attitudes of society. Because of the influence of societal beliefs, "men commonly have the false impression that it is inevitable to lose performance capacity with age".

Thus, there is evidence to support the view that older men often experience a decline in performance. However, it is incorrect to assume that this is a problem that confronts all men, or that it is a problem that cannot be dealt with. In an extensive survey that involved more than 800 elderly men and women, Bernard Starr and Marcela Weiner found strong evidence "that not only are older people indeed interested in sex, they also think about it, desire it, and engage in it when they can". In regard to older men, specifically, although many researchers have found "progressive declines in male sexual interest, activity, and performance with age," others have found that the majority of men (as many as 80-90 percent) continue to retain sexual interest and engage in sexual activity in one form or another "well into the 70s or beyond". Impotence drugs may be helpful in enabling older men to remain sexual active.

Herbal products are available without a prescription, making them discreet if you wish to keep the problem a secret for a time to see if you can resolve it yourself. Look into VigRX, a world leader in herbal sexual improvement. Other products that work for similar sexual problems include Semenax, and Katana. Look into these if you have concern about privacy or desire to avoid the side effects that accompany the heavier pharmaceuticals.

More importantly, men need to "adapt their expectations" as they grow older, and to thereby maintain a healthy attitude toward the natural processes of aging and performance in old age.
